1130 Sherbrooke Facade/Plaza/Lobby

This office building in Montréal, Canada was constructed in 1974. Archimuse designed the renovation of the exterior street level plaza in 1988, including the installation of a major bronze sculpture by British sculptor Barry Flanagan, “Kouros Horse.” Archimuse designed the renovation of the street level entrance lobby in 1991, including the installation of a monumental oil painted by American Painter April Gornik, “Brunhilde’s Wahl.”

Archimuse designed the renovation of the elevator cabs, tenant floor lobbies, and restrooms between 1991 and 2000, using the same finishes and materials used in the street level plaza and lobby, including the integration of a series of minimalist glass paintings by Canadian artist Richard Perusse inside the four passenger elevator cabs.
